The Westin St. Augustine to open at San Sebastian Harbor

The Devlin Group and Starwood sign Hotel Deal

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., January 2, 2008 – San Sebastian Harbor Resort, LLC, a subsidiary of The Devlin Companies has entered into an agreement with Westin Operator, LLC, a subsidiary of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. to bring The Westin St. Augustine and The Residences at The Westin St. Augustine to the San Sebastian Harbor project.

The Westin St. Augustine will be a 225-room luxury, upscale full service hotel that offers a unique hotel experience.  It will be architecturally inspiring and thoughtfully designed for those who appreciate a higher standard. The hotel will include a conference center for business meetings or special events. It will also have a luxury spa, high-end and boutique retail and a parking garage to accommodate a large number of visitors.  Hotel guests will be treated to the Heavenly Bed and Bath, a comfort offered exclusively at Westin Hotels. The Westin St. Augustine will offer in-room spa treatments and the WestinWORKOUT. In addition to The Westin St. Augustine hotel, the development will boast The Residences at The Westin St. Augustine, which are upscale condominiums, and a 65 slip marina with boardwalk promenade.

The luxury spa will be designed by internationally recognized Health Fitness Dynamics, Inc., headed by Dr. Judy Singer and Patty Monteson.  The company has created some of the best high end spas at resorts around the world, among others in Ponte Vedra, Florida, Cancun, Mexico and Hanbury Manor in England. ForrestPerkins has been chosen to handle the interior architecture and interior design for the hotel.  The company has helped to create some of the most luxurious hotels around the world, including The Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California.

The Westin St. Augustine and The Residences at The Westin St. Augustine will be located in historic St. Augustine on nearly 13 acres along the San Sebastian River. The architect for the condominiums is Kurt Dannwolf of O’Donnell Dannwolf and Partners, Architects, Inc. San Sebastian Harbor Resort, LLC has enlisted the help of the engineering firm England-Thims and Miller, Inc., who are known for their unique and environmentally sensitive design solutions.  The landscape architecture and site-planning will be handled by Ervin, Lovett and Miller.  The Westin St. Augustine and The Residences at The Westin St. Augustine are expected to be complete by the fall of 2010.
